The Windmill Animal Farm
Ormskirk, Lancashire Windmill Animal Farm opened in 1992. Visitors can experience the every day running of an actual working farm while still having the chance to watch, feed, touch and play with animals. The farm has three children's play areas - the indoor play barn with ball pools(one of the largest in the North West), the new outdoor play area by the main farm complex and the second new outdoor play area by Lake View.
One of the best features of the farm is the wonderful miniature railway that crosses the farm. The track is over one mile in length and the half way point is at Lake View. Visitors can disembark the train here and look at the lovely scenery whilst the children play on the new Lake View Play Area.
